Na Tighean Beaga
Welcome to Na Tighean Beaga - Gaelic for "The Little Houses"
Our comfortable, purpose-built holiday bungalows and chalets sleep a maximum of 4 and 8 persons in 2 or 4 bedrooms. Both house types have open plan lounge/diningroom/kitchen areas. More details can be found at our website. We allow pets provided they are under control at all times.
Our site has an extensive Woodland area and a great variety of flora and fauna from chantrelles and various berries (in season) to deer, buzzard, wren and woodpecker. A village walk passes through this area.
Our village has a shop/cafe (with exceedingly good cakes) and 3 hotels which serve drink and meals daily. There is a limited train service from London/Glasgow and a bus service to Fort William sometimes via the ski-slopes of Aonach Mor.
Our area offers a variety of activites from walking to kayaking and the name "The Outdoor Capital of the UK" is truly apt.
Our spectacular scenery draws visitors to the Highlands and much can be found as to "what to see and do". What is not so readily available are aspects of Highland Life, our history and culture which some of our visitors wish to share. Take a peek at www.roybridge.net and you will find our people and their pride and passions such as our school and shinty. Check out Glen Roy, an important National Nature Reserve which is a superb walking area having the curious geological feature the "parallel roads" - information available to download from www.nnr-scotland.org.uk
We hope that after a holiday with us you will want to Haste ye Back.
